Problem: Excess water pooling around the entrance of the pool deck from inside the home.
Solution: Two core drill locations were being installed at this pool deck to drain excess water settling on the deck.
Concern: Pool plumbing lines, sewer line, and an electric line were in the area.
Resolve: Use GSSI structure scan with the handy cart and the optical reader to identify all utilities below ground.

After the area was identified a grid sheet was tapped on the deck. The area is scanned using an X Y-axis to collect the 3-D data needed. Each line is scanned and recorded onto the GPR unit.
The whole process takes about 15 minutes from start to end. The information is processed and the results are given to the client as to where the core drill can safely go.

The results showed that the rebar configuration spacing was at 6"x6".
One water line was detected at 4" below the surface. The core drill area was moved over 3" and down 5".
The core drill was successful at both locations.
