Will my steel framed home look like a metal building?
No,it will look like a traditional home with the same exteriors choices that you can select-brick, stone,etc. Back to Top

How energy efficient will my home be with steel framing?
Excellent!!! With steel framing the exterior walls that are eight inches thick can provide R30, with six inch exterior so you can have R25. The roof can also be insulated for additional R-value. And with the use of insulated windows you are in excellent shape! Back to Top

What are other advantages will I have with steel framing?
For starters-your house will not burn down, some insurance companies give price breaks on their rates for steel framing. You have more freedom in designing your floor plan since there are no load bearing walls. And if in some later years you are ready for a change in rooms it will not be an impossibility structurally. You won't have termites! And your walls will not "walk" or warp. Back to Top

What are some of the other features in your homes?
We like to build homes that have maintenance-free exterior. Not having to paint trim or windows are big plusses in our book.We try to find energy-efficient vinyl windows in a style that you like. Along with soffit, fascia, & gutters. If you insist on painting something-how about your front Door? Back to Top

Do I need to have an architect draw up my plans before I come to see you?
No. Steel framed homes are structurally different than wood framed homes. To get started all we need is a rough drawn floor plan with approximate dimensions of your rooms. We then put this information into our computer progam to come up with your floor plan. We can even put furniture drawings in them so you can see what space you have available. After you have the floor plan that you want we then take that plan into the final structural plan. Back to Top

How long will it take to get the materials for my home?
This will depend on the time of the year. During the summer months it takes longer to go through engineering & fabrication Back to Top

Can you build me a building that I can temporarily live in & then convert to a barn?
Yes. We have built several temporary "homes" that became barns or that were part barn & part living quaters. Back to Top

How are shipping charges calculated?
Shipping charges vary according to product type and destination.

Because we do not warehouse any of our items, your order is shipped directly from one of our thousands of authorized vendors across the country. The individual vendors ultimately determine the method of product shipment. Therefore, we are not able to reduce shipping charges for any reason.
