Reflections assembles five pieces by Michael Senturia, composed between 1996 and 2013. They are 1. To Music (SSATB), a setting of words by Edna St. Vincent Millay; 2. China (SSATTB), with words by the composer, a "reflection" on a visit to that country; 3. In Memoriam (SATB), words by Longfellow, a deeply felt reflection on a brother's death; 4. Du Erich, (also SATB) a setting of a poem in German by Vera Lachmann, herself reflecting on her brother's death in WWI; 5. The Wind (SSSSAAATBarB), a setting of words by Neruda.
