Three Chanteys (vln., clarinet, piano)

Ridgway Banks, a student of Nadia Boulanger, joined the faculty of the Browne and Nichols School, Cambridge, MA in 1963, where he discovered "several talented instrumentalists" among the students. Two of these, violinist Daniel Gannon and clarinetist Neil Mores, joined him in the first performance of this piece the following year. Three movements: Solemn; Tranquillo; and Allegro energico.
